Virtual Strike

Design Week (UK) invited me to contribute towards a Vox Pop this week. The Question: A group of Belgium ad agencies went on strike in protest at pitches. What issue would entice you to go on strike.

Question:
Coca-Cola launch their new multi-million pound ad campaign. People like the ad but it doesn’t make them buy more Coke. Should Coca-Cola still pay the advertising agency?

Answer:
No. (According to Coke)

Shocking?

This month the Government put a new law in place in a bid to reduce the 87,000 people prematurely killed in England each year by the effects of smoking. Cigarette packaging must now display shocking images including cancerous tumours, rotting lungs and clogged arteries, all in an attempt to encourage people to ‘kick the habit’. More
