Julius Shulman, renowned Architectural photographer most famous for his depiction of Modernism across California, died in July of this year. Having just moved to the Golden State, it seemed only fitting that I attended a screening of Eric Brickers documentary ‘Visual Acoustics’ to learn a little more about a man so acclaimed and respected, particularly in this part of the world. We all have dreams about what we’d like to be when we grow up but, for the vast majority, it’s rare that those dreams ever come to accurate fruition. Regardless of how happy we are in the vocation we currently employ, it’s more than likely that it wasn’t the first job that popped into our heads once we realised that one day we’d have to work for a living. On demand is a phrase that is constantly being used in the media, and this week Channel 4 announced they were adding their back catalogue of over 10,000 titles to 4OD. More
